Hey everyone,
There are two new stories to read below, so scroll down for those – this is a quick announcement from RM HQ.
Ruined Music is going on spring break from now until late April. We’re off to Cabo, where we’ll be playing beach volleyball with Tiffani Amber Thiessen, sipping neon drinks with extra grenadine, and screaming WOOOOO! until we’re hoarse.
Okay, not really. We are taking a break from updating the site, but we won’t be frolicking in the tropics. We’re just going to be here in Brooklyn, hunched over a computer and working on a complete site redesign. We’ll send a message to the email list to let you know when the new site goes up, and in the meantime, here some things you can do:
-Browse the archive.
-Revise your essay for submission. Polish the revision. Take your fourth coffee break and then wax the re-revision. Tell your writerly friends to do the same. Submit to submit@ruinedmusic.com. Also, we’re not kidding when we say graphic artists are welcome – if you want to tell your story in images + words, email info@ruinedmusic.com so we can work out logistics.
-Let us know if there’s anything specific you’d like to see in a Ruined Music site redesign. Would it be helpful if you could search the entire site by artist/song title? Do you like archives sorted by date, by song, by author, by something else? Do you have any other suggestions we might be able to use? We’re happy to consider constructive comments, so bring ‘em to info@ruinedmusic.com. Put ‘SITE SUGGESTION’ in the subject line so we’ll know to open that email first.
-Put a picture of a broken record over your heart, on your mug, or on your back at the Ruined Music store. For those of you who have asked: no, we don’t have any items sized for pets. I don’t think that’s an option at CafePress (yet). But that was an awesome question to be asked.
Thanks, as always, for reading and writing and posting about Ruined Music on your blogs. We mean it when we say you are the #1 best readers ever. If our readers went head-to-head with some other website’s readers, you guys would totally win.
WOOOOO!
Mary & Bryan
